Capturing the light in Funchal

Thanks to all who attended the PhotoWalk on Sunday morning. The aim of the walk was to understand light by using the beautiful city of Funchal as our backdrop.

By understanding the basic principles of photography and knowing how you can use them to create interest in your images. Learning how to manipulate the light that falls on the image plane to create the desired effect, much like a painter uses paint to create the impression he is trying to achieve. Understanding light and how you can work with it takes your photography from snapshots to artworks that tell a story.
